Favorite Books of the Summer

Hey Guys,

So, recently, I’ve had a lot more time on my hands, so I’ve been reading more books. Whether it’s poetry, fiction, or historical, I have loved so many books, and I really wanted to share them with you guys! So here is a list of books I’m recommending for this summer.

1. Milk and Honey- Rupi Kaur

This poetry book by Rupi Kaur inspires so many emotions and deals with real life issues such as rejection, love, and relationships.

2. Bonjour Tristesse- Françoise Sagan

Bonjour Tristesse is a witty and light-hearted French story about a young girl, Cécile, and her summer romance and adventures!

3. Lolita- Vladamir Nabokov

A controversial literary work about an older man and his obsession with a young girl named Lolita. This book made me uncomfortable, but it was so intriguing that I just kept reading. Eventually, by the end, I understood that the level of controversy results in appreciation for the work.

4. Gone Girl- Gillian Flynn

A thriller novel about a woman who goes missing. This book is filled with deceit, mystery, and intrigue!

5. The Catcher In the Rye- J.D. Salinger

The Cather in the Rye is a classic novel, and I especially loved the themes of angst and adolescence.
